Long delete period on Steam group used for phishing

I reported a Steam group which was only used for phishing on August 7th 2018 (and wrote a blog post about, Phishing site targeting gamblers).

I don’t know when the group started phishing it’s members or remember when the group was created but other type of groups that I have reported (neonazi for example) have gotten deleted way faster, usually within a week of report. But this group with phishing links sometimes on the group URL and always on the group announcements remained untouched for 10 months since my first report. And because of the long wait for deletion I think I managed to report the group 2-3 times after having waited several months since previous report.

Should of documented better the group creation date, active phishing link count and when the link was updated to bypass the URL filter. The only things that I know for sure are that the group only had one administrator user, no moderators and more than 5 unique phishing links in total. And the administrator user of the group had a normal Steam profile and played games regularly without any fear of getting banned it seemed.

CS:GO isn’t fun to play 19.04.2019

As soon as I have played round 1 the players start to insults each others, including their own team members as well as the enemy team and it’s players.

That goes on for the whole game of 45 minutes nearly nonstop.

And around the middle of the game quickly after team swap someone from my team says that he is leaving so we could surrender. We didn’t even talk about surrendering and didn’t surrender after he left.

It wasn’t that players first time leaving the game as he got maximum ban tier cooldown of 7 days for leaving before the game was finished. Other tiers are 30 minutes, 2 hours and 24 hours, more about that can be found here.

It’s just no longer fun playing a game where everyone keeps constantly insulting others, abandoning their team by leaving before game is finished and other minor annoyances. But I guess that’s “just the Internet” so what can you do really? Nothing.

So should I just drop gaming fully and do nothing? I am open to ideas, please add me on Steam and suggest me games with more mature player base who knows some manners and acts civil.

Lag switching accusation with a red ping in DbD

I wonder what ping means..

If your ping bar icon is red (250+ ms) that means you will most likely to have moderate to high lags in the game. You are also free to leave the lobby if the ping doesn’t suit you.

He accused me of lag switch but.. If your ping is stable how is it switching?

In Dead by Daylight which has been peer to peer game from release date to somewhere summer 2019 the killer acts as host and can lag on purpose to make a hard time for survivors to navigate the map without running into walls or just limit network connection to the clients to stop them from moving completly.

On top of whining at me for his own laggy connection he ragequit as soon as I downed him for the first time – less than two minutes into the game. Other players had OK ping and didn’t complain, or lag in-game.

No idea why his ping was that high, according to his Steam profile game review he speaks Turkish. Didn’t check his ping or country so can’t be sure. As for my connection during that game I had 50 Mbps upload speed which is more than enough for Turkey clients/survivors connecting to my game server.

His permanent Steam profile url: Udayzen

PUBG freezing issue

Tried to play PUBG after a very long break but only managed to play it for 2 games because on my second death I wanted to see how the person who killed me changed their position so I wouldn’t die to same tactic again and clicked on death cam.. Then the game just froze.

I tried alt+F4 out but it wouldn’t close the game. I tried opening task manager only to notice that the game would keep itself on top hiding all other windows behind it. So I couldn’t even close the game using task manager.

Then I noticed that I could interact with the windows behind the game meaning the game wasn’t the focused window eventhough it was on top of everything. So I asked Google how to close a process just by using the executable name as I couldn’t grab the process ID. And that worked, I could use Windows key to open Windows toolbar, search for cmd.exe, open it and then type into the window all while the game was on top and in full screen mode.

Here is the result of that and the command used in case someone gets into similar situation with this game or some other game/software freezing on top of all windows.

taskkill /IM “tslgame.exe” /f

Funny -rep comment

Well here we go again, Dead by Daylight player whine comment on my Steam profile.

First, he commented on the wrong profile.. Nearly an hour after we had played together. And then he doesn’t even know about the biggest bug happening right now where lots of people (including me) have had their game freeze during loading screen (more about that here). And the list goes on.. I was the killer in that game, where he was playing in a full SWF team with his mates..

His Steam profile for reference: Juu.

Alcohol and Dead by Daylight doesn’t mix well, remember that kids!

Tried to help him direct his hatred against the intended target but he just deleted my comment and ignored it. Didn’t delete the comment from my profile either.

GeForce Experience failed to download driver

Got this error and tried Googling for reasons and fixes. One of those was to reinstall GeForce Experience but that didn’t fix it. Tried disabling F-Secure DeepGuard which didn’t help either.

So I had to manually download the driver from geforce.com and after installing it manually GeForce Experience shows that I am up to date again.

Horrible game of CS:GO | 20.11.2018

I picked up a weapon from dead enemy player’s corpse, someone wanted that very same weapon from me.. I gave them another weapon instead. They kept asking for the weapon and eventually team killed me for the weapon.

After that he killed himself on purpose the following round along with their friend who was also on my team.

Then another teammate of my team attacked one of the griefers during spawn protection timer and instantly got banned forcing them to leave the game.

Somehow one of the griefers voted yes to kick their friend from the game, which also passed and they got kicked.

Then the last remaining griefer wanted to surrender or get kicked, whichever would happen first. But I refused to do either so they couldn’t rejoin their friend and continue griefing in other games causing even more players lose. After failed surrender vote we kept playing for a few rounds until the griefer got bored of losing and initiated a kick vote to get rid of me.

And of course the other player who wasn’t griefing who wanted to surrender voted to kick me so he could surrender and move on to a hopefully better game.

So I got kicked eventually but managed to waste some of the griefers precious time and most importantly made their friend wait even longer until they could continue.

KRZYSIEK:::::MAKA didn’t grief and wanted to surrender.

foxy griefing team killer.

CrAzY MaN >D team attacked during spawn protection timer and got banned.

mathilda griefer who killed themselves on purpose.

Fast trade attempt

I have never traded any items between players in Rocket League.

So when I got asked to trade something today I agreed to see how trading works in Rocket League.

Here is the chat log between me and the other player.

Nothing else was said, how rude of him..

I have been looking into selling the cap (among other items) for euros (and break the Rocket League user agreement) so I have seen that the pricing websites recently have listed that one item to be worth around 150-160 crate keys.

Here are today’s prices for the item, golden cap.

I thought I was asking for way too much because I am not willing to just trade that item away, if anything I want at least cash for it but it turns out I was semi-accurate on the price I wanted for it.

I guess the other person was in a hurry because they didn’t reply anything to me and instantly kicked me out of their party, closed the trade window and unfriended me on Steam.

PS. Anyone willing to pay cash for all of my Rocket League items?

F-Secure Deep Guard and Steam

Sometimes without a good reason F-Secure anti-virus software might block Steam games from launching and without a valid reason to do so.

When that happens you will get this error message when trying to launch a game that is being blocked from launching by F-Secure.

Steam - Game Launch Failed Rocket League failed to start (error code 51).

Steam – Game Launch Failed Rocket League failed to start (error code 51).

Another error code that you might get would be something like this.

Application load error 3:0000065432

If you are using F-Secure and see that error you must either turn off Deep Guard or add the Steam/game folder to excluded list.

F-Secure also sometimes falsely marks some .dll and .exe files from Steam games as viruses so you might want to add Steam folder to virus scan exclusion list as well.

Updated on 10.05.2021 with new error code.

Great games for a small price
